River Babe Threads began at our dining room table in the summer of 2014 with just a dream, a sewing machine, and a whole lot of love. What started as handmade bandana bibs has since grown into a full lifestyle brand for modern families, still proudly rooted right here in Rockford, Michigan.

Thanks to the support of our amazing customers (and a little boost from social media), River Babe has grown from a one-woman shop into a family-run business with a small but mighty team. Together, we handle fulfillment, screen printing, and day-to-day operations. Every piece of graphic apparel is designed and produced locally, with comfort and style always at the heart of what we do.

Design has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Back in high school, I made shirts for my sports teams, and in college, for my cheer squad. Those experiences, and some wonderful connections with local screen printers, led to our very first line of River Babe graphic tees. While our first designs were just for infants and toddlers, our vision quickly grew, and today we create hip, comfortable apparel and accessories for the whole family.

What started with outside print partners has now become fully in-house. We own and operate our own screen-printing studio inside our warehouse, giving us complete control over the design and production process. This allows us to keep quality high, restock quickly, adapt with the seasons, and even stay ahead of trends — all while keeping things local.

The past decade has been a wild and wonderful ride, and we’re beyond excited to keep growing with you. Thank you for shopping small, supporting local, and being part of the River Babe story.

SHIPPING: 

Due to the handmade nature of our items, orders require a production lead time up to three weeks. We always aim to ship earlier, but depending on order volume and our production schedule, it may be the full three weeks. We do not operate out of a large warehouse or with a big staff. We personally handcraft and fulfill thousands of orders each month with a staff of 6! Thank you so much for your support, and for your patience as we hustle to get your orders shipped. 

Please Note: Shipping estimates are computer generated and do not take into account lead times. We make no guarantees for delivery dates, and we only operate on business days (Monday through Friday). We ship items as soon as they are finished in production, and as quickly as we can with our very small staff. For shipping services we utilize the United States Postal Service; standard packages are shipped via Ground Advantage and express packages are shipped via Priority Mail service. The general shipping time estimates for Ground Advantage range 2-7 days, and for Priority Mail 1-3 days. This shipping time is on top of the processing time from our warehouse. Please keep in mind when selecting your shipping service that no delivery times are guaranteed. 

Please ensure your product selection, size, and shipping address are correct when your order is placed. All orders are shipped to the address you have listed at checkout. Once your order is placed, we cannot change the shipping address. Orders are processed as quickly as humanly possible. Due to the handmade nature of our items, shipping may take up to three weeks. We are not responsible for items shipped to the wrong address, or items lost or damaged in transit. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR SHIPPING ADDRESS IS CORRECT BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER.

International orders: Your order will be shipped to your PayPal or checkout address. International shipments are at the mercy of customs inspections and may take up to 30 days to arrive after shipment. We cannot provide any information regarding international orders once they have been shipped and tracking information may not be available. Please refer to your local shipping agency for updates once your international parcel departs from the United States.

RETURNS/EXCHANGES:

TO PROCESS A RETURN YOU MUST UTILIZE THE "RETURNS" TAB LOCATED ON OUR WEBSITE. A return request must be filed within 7 days of order delivery. Approved returns must be received back within 14 days of approval. Some items are excluded from our return policy, please review the terms below before proceeding with your request. 

All International orders are FINAL SALE. Please note that our shipping turnaround may be up to three weeks, shipping itself may take an additional three weeks for International customers. Please size-up accordingly when purchasing items. 

All items received as part of a giveaway or purchased with shop credit are FINAL SALE.

Any item included in a bundle or sold as a part of a holiday collection are FINAL SALE. 

Any item explicitly labeled as "final sale" due to discontinued style or otherwise purchased as a closeout is FINAL SALE. 

All orders placed during our bi-annual sale(s) or otherwise sold at a discount of 35% or more off retail value are FINAL SALE due to the extreme discounts.

Any bamboo products ordered using a promotional discount code at a value less than full retail pricing are FINAL SALE.

All items included under the categories of drink ware, sunglasses, or head wear are FINAL SALE due to the nature and use of the products. 

We DO NOT issue returns for a cash value. You are welcome to return any unwashed/unworn item that you purchased at full retail value for a store credit. 

We gladly accept returns for unwashed/unworn items that were purchased at full retail value. The request must be received via email within 7 days of the shipment delivery date. Once the item(s) have been shipped back to us, they will be inspected and we will issue a store credit in the value you paid. The gift card will be sent to the email address you have associated with your customer profile.

UPDATE 1/5/2023: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs moving forward and therefore a restocking/re-shipping fee will no longer be subtracted from the refund gift card. Return shipping and all costs associated are the responsibility of the customer and shipping labels will no longer be provided. Prior to shipping your return to our warehouse, the order MUST BE APPROVED through our shipping portal. Refund gift cards will not be issued for returns which were not previously approved and do not qualify for our returns program. 

Please note: you must complete this form & ship the item back to us (at your cost) in order to process a return. All items will be inspected upon arrival. Any additional packaging MUST be included in order for your return to be accepted. Return items must be received in brand new, packaged condition. 

 For European Union CustomersGeneral Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Basis Disclosure: River Babe Threads may collect and process your personal information only if it is provided by you. As per the GDPR, we can process your personal data legally only with your consent or “Legimate Interest”. This means that you have provided your personal data, with your own interest, to us. Data provided may be for the purpose of providing a product or service from our site, or contacting you using the details provided. As per GDPR, the legal basis for processing personal information is contractual obligation. Therefore, we process customer’s personal data only if they have provided the data to River Babe Threads.
